Information Brezal accesses and stores

Brezal does not require a user account. The app may store preferences and app state locally on your device, such as playback or mix preferences, sleep timer state where applicable, the first free-access day or state, and other settings needed to operate Brezal.

Brezal also stores limited local state for its initial free-access period. This local free-access period is not an Apple App Store free trial and is not a RevenueCat subscription trial.

Audio playback

Brezal plays ambient audio in the foreground and, where supported by the device and operating system, in the background or while the iPhone is locked. The app’s audio playback and sound-layer settings are part of the app experience. This policy does not describe Brezal as providing medical or therapeutic treatment.

Analytics

Brezal may use PostHog for limited product analytics when analytics are enabled. PostHog may process information such as standard technical, device, and app information according to its policies and the app’s configuration. Brezal does not describe this information as anonymous unless the applicable implementation and configuration support that description.

Crash and error monitoring

Brezal uses Sentry for diagnostics and error monitoring. Sentry may process standard technical, device, and app information needed to diagnose technical problems and improve reliability, according to its policies and the app’s configuration.

Purchases and subscriptions

Brezal uses RevenueCat to manage purchase and entitlement information for Brezal Pro, including monthly subscriptions, yearly subscriptions, lifetime purchases, and eligible restore behavior. Apple’s App Store and StoreKit process payments and may process information required for purchases and subscriptions. Brezal does not directly receive or store your Apple payment-card details.

Third-party services

Brezal uses Apple’s App Store and StoreKit for payment processing, RevenueCat for purchase and entitlement management, PostHog for limited product analytics when enabled, and Sentry for diagnostics and error monitoring. These providers may process information according to their own policies and service configurations. Read the RevenueCat Privacy Policy, PostHog Privacy Policy, and Sentry Privacy Policy.

Data retention

Locally stored preferences, free-access state, playback state, and other app settings remain on the device until they are removed through the app, device, or operating-system actions, where applicable. Brezal does not state a fixed retention period for information processed by Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, or Sentry; those providers may retain information according to their respective policies and service configurations.

Your choices

You can manage Brezal’s local app data through available device or app controls. You can manage or cancel auto-renewing subscriptions through your Apple account, and you can use Brezal’s Restore Purchases option for eligible purchases. Brezal does not require an account or provide an account-deletion feature.

Children’s privacy

Brezal is a general-audience ambient sound app and is not specifically directed to children. Brezal does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian with a privacy concern may contact support@pearbasket.com.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Brezal’s data practices or applicable requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
